Enterprise had the opportunity to introduce its activities to the staff of the Department of Building Economics at the University of Moratuwa. The session was coordinated by Prof. Udayangani Kulathunga as part of our ongoing initiative to enhance awareness of Enterprise’s role within the university.
This program was specifically designed to provide the Building Economics staff with a clear understanding of Enterprise’s contributions, particularly in technology transfer, innovation support, and intellectual property (IP) management. The session also offered a brief introduction to IP rights and protection mechanisms, emphasizing their importance in academic and research-driven innovations.
The discussion was highly engaging, and there was a strong interest in further exploring IP protection strategies. In response, a dedicated session on IP protection has been requested, reinforcing the growing need for IP awareness within academic disciplines.
