The University of Moratuwa and Aevocode signed a Collaborative Research Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 22 January 2026 at the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, establishing a framework for future research and innovation initiatives. The collaboration was facilitated by the Enterprise Unit as part of its commitment to strengthening links between the university and the startup ecosystem.
The MoU reflects the shared interest of both parties in working together on final-year undergraduate projects (FYPs) and exploring broader opportunities for collaborative research and innovation. It provides a formal foundation for future partnerships and serves as a framework for developing project-specific agreements as new opportunities arise.
The agreement was signed by the Vice Chancellor on behalf of the University of Moratuwa in the presence of the director and manager of the Enterprise Unit. Aevocode was represented by its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at the signing ceremony.
By facilitating collaborations with emerging technology companies, the Enterprise Unit continues to create opportunities for students and researchers to engage with industry, apply their knowledge to real-world challenges, and contribute to the development of innovative technologies. The partnership with Aevocode is expected to foster closer collaboration between academia and industry while supporting the university’s mission of promoting research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
