Strengthening Innovation: University of Moratuwa Signs MoU with TRACE Expert City

The University of Moratuwa has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TRACE Expert City Sri Lanka, marking an important milestone in strengthening the university innovation ecosystem.

This strategic collaboration aims to foster closer industry–academia partnerships, create new opportunities for research commercialization, and empower the next generation of innovators to contribute to Sri Lanka’s technology and innovation landscape.

Representing TRACE Sri Lanka, Mr. Kusal Subasinghe, Chairman of TRACE Sri Lanka, signed the MoU, with Dr. Sankalpa Gamwarige, Board Chairman of TRACE Sri Lanka, also participating in the event. The University’s Enterprise unit facilitated the process, underscoring its continued commitment to bridging the gap between academia and industry.

This MoU sets the stage for further discussions on specific collaborative programs and applications that will drive impactful outcomes for students, researchers, and industry partners alike.
